Designing a home that serves you, your family, and god

Since becoming an oily addict I jump to an oil prior to even thinking about looking for an over the counter remedy for just about anything! That includes the occasional stomach annoyances. If you suffer from stomach issues I encourage you to look to essential oils to help aid in the soothing of your stomach and digestive system.

Essential oils work by penetrating the skin and circulating throughout your body and the effects can be realized in only a matter of minutes. Here I want to list some of the TOP essential oils and blends used and why they are so good at easing stomach issues.

DiGizeTM is a trademarked blend by Young Living and combines Tarragon, Ginger, Peppermint, Juniper, Lemongrass, Anise, Patchouli, and Fennel essential oils. You can apply this to your ears, wrists, neck, forehead, temples, feet, or abdomen when you are feeling discomfort. It is believed that rubbing DiGizeTM in a clockwise motion will get things moving and in a counterclockwise motion will slow things down.Be sure to dilute a few drops in a carrier oil first prior to applying.

DiGizeTM has an antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic quality that combats indigestion.  Take 1-2 drops of DiGizeTM Vitality in an empty gel capsule after meals or add to your drinking water. When experiencing symptoms related to indigestion, heartburn or bloating apply 1-2 drops under your tongue.

Peppermint essential oil creates a cool, tingling feeling when applied to the skin, making it a favorite to ease stomach issues. Be sure to dilute a few drops in a carrier oil first prior to applying. You can also add it to a hot bath and enjoy the relaxing and invigorating scent or inhale it directly or while diffusing to reduce nausea symptoms.

You can use Peppermint Vitality for gastrointestinal comfort and normal digestion support. Peppermint Vitality helps support a healthy gut and digestive efficiency.  To use simply add 1-2 drops in a vegetable capsule and take daily or as needed. You can also include Peppermint Vitality in a glass of water. See my blog post on how to prepare this HERE.

Ginger Vitality helps to support a normal digestive system. It can be used to soothe a stomach when taken internally. Add a drop to your favorite tea or 1-2 drops in a vegetable capsule.

TummyGizeTM is a relaxing blend that is part of Young Living’s Kidscents line for children. It supports healthy digestions and quiets little tummies. TummyGizeTM is made up of Spearment, Peppermint, Tangerine, Ginger, Fennel, Cardamom, and Anise essential oils.

TummyGizeTM is already pre-diluted making it safe to apply directly onto your children’s skin. Apply 2-4 drops on ears, wrists, tummy, or feet. You can also inhale directly or diffuse it.
