Roses are one of the most coveted flowers that symbolize love and passion. Roses have been used for hundreds of years to convey messages without words. The ancient Greeks and Romans associated the rose with Aphrodite and Venus, goddesses of love. For this reason I have chosen to infuse oil with dried roses which will be used in several ways to benefit the skin and mind.
Rose oil has skin and health benefits as well as harmonizing and balancing skin care qualities. While infusing rose petals in organic oil they release their properties producing a fragrant gentle rose infused oil to be used in beauty and skin care use.
Rose oil, and products containing rose oil, is amazing for dry, tender, and sensitive skin. Rose oil has cleansing properties as well as astringent, toning, moisturizing, stimulating, antibacterial, healing and soothing effects. Rose oil helps boost mature skin and promotes youthfulness.
Rose oil is also very therapeutic through its aroma. The rose fragrance helps uplift the mood and harmonize the mind. A simple massage with rose infused oil or a bath with an Epsom salt and rose mix can calm one’s mind and body. Let’s face it, as mothers; we all need a moment of calm and serenity in our lives.
Whether it was the ancient Greeks, Romans, Christians, Freemasons or others, the rose has always been a timeless symbol of love, beauty and balance. While each color expresses love, beauty and balance a little differently, the main message is still always love!
