Spring Brunch Tablescape
Spring has surely sprung in many areas of the country so I thought I would share a fun spring brunch tablescape idea. Because who doesn't love brunch?! These elements are also great for an every day gathering around the table for dinner or for your Easter setting. My thought process with this design is to bring in what you already own and maybe add one or two new items into the mix. Fresh flowers or greenery are ALWAYS a good idea!
Throughout my decor days I have come to the conclusion that it's important to keep the table simple and pretty. Once everyone is gathered around the table you don't want large bulky items to cover anyone's faces which makes it hard for dinnertime conversations. And if you have too many items on the table it can feel cluttered. You want to invite open conversation and room to pass the potatoes.
Most of my tablescapes include white plates which are equal parts simple + pretty. The contrast of the white plates and the wood elements inspires me. This time I wanted to add a little detailed element so I incorporated these beautiful malomine plates from Threshold. Plus the contrast of the white plates and natural textured chargers speaks to me.
With all of the white + wood + texture I needed a little pop which is where the greens come in. The cotton green fringe napkins and the eucalyptus is an easy way to bring in the season and add color + texture.
A few other table details include the wooden pillars which adds just enough height to perch some yummy pastries on. I was also drawn to the jade glass cake stand for it's pop of color, subtle texture, and pretty silhouette. You can also use vintage cutting boards to display more delicious snacks.
Just remember it is more about the people that sit around your table than the way your food is displayed or the plates you eat off of. I hope, however you decide to set your table, that it is fitting for you and your family and each smile reminds you of a beautiful spring season.
