Fun Family Trip

So my friends I am taking a quick side road on le blog today to round up some family fun time we had this weekend. I’m rounding up our adventures from our recent trip to Orlando and more specifically Legoland! Our family has been vacationing in Orlando since the kiddos were born (going on 6 years) and even before that my husband made frequent trips and my family has had its fair share of Orlando outings. With a timeshare, and a move to south Florida, we really have no excuse to NOT take advantage of the thrills of Orlando. Yes, it is soooooo busy. A little too busy for this introvert but the girlies love it and we do it for the kids, amiright? So Orlando and all its craziness has sort of become a home away from home for us. So check out all our funzies we had over the weekend and let me know if you’ve ever been or if your family has a place they like to escape to.

Legoland

Legoland is a more affordable option when visiting a theme park in Florida. It's a definite one-dayer, meaning you can do and see it all in one day, so you only need a one day pass. Unless you do the waterpark, which we haven't done just yet.As you walk around you'll see there are plenty of photo opps with the Lego gang and the kids loved taking photos with all the characters, obviously! hahaThis is an all ages park. Our little girls even got to ride their first roller coaster! There's a Duplo park for the itty bitties and there are some for the bigger kids as well. Definitely make sure you check out the times to the pirate show...that's a MUST SEE!

Disney Springs

Disney Springs is still one of the only places I know Disney related that doesn't charge for parking. If you've ever been to the theme parks you know that free parking is a BIG DEAL! There are two parking garages that are super accessible and there's plenty of parking available. Just make sure you get there before the dinner rush!If you're going to visit Disney Springs I highly suggest parking in the Orange garage and having a bite to eat at the House of Blues. Then behind the restaurant take the ferry over to the Marketplace. From there you can walk through all of Disney Springs and make your way back to the Orange garage without missing anything.Be sure to check out all the shopping and you MUST go into World of Disney and the Lego store. The kids also like to eat at Rainforest Cafe and T-Rex. And make sure you keep your eyes open for all the characters (not live) to take advantage of some photo time.

Pirate's Cove

When the family is done with all that walking and just wants a relaxing time playing games there's really nothing better than a round of mini golf. Orlando has some of the most out-of-this-world miniature golf courses with the super fun details of each theme. Our girls LOVE all things pirates so when given the choice (and there are a lot of them in the area) they chose to go to Pirate's Cove. This is another thing you can do that is super inexpensive but a ton of fun!Well that is my round up of our little surprise mini vacay with lots of adventures! We always have a good time when we visit the Orlando area and I hope you get to visit with your family soon! Hey, we may see you there!Thank you for visiting today. I’d love for you to stop by my Instagram page @avelynlane and lets chat about your Holiday plans and let me know what you thought about the post today.
